Archivo y tiempo
"According to a famous statement by Foucault, the archive is ' the law
that determines what can be said'. To bring this statement closer to the
level of empirical institutions, it can be rephrased in the following
way: The archive is the basis of what can be said in the future about
the present when it will have become the past".
Aleida Assmann, 'Canon and archive', in Erll and Nünning, A companion to cultural memory studies, De Gruyter, Berlín, NY, 2010, p.102.
